First, let me say how much I love my job! What a great way to spend a Sunday. The day itself turned out to be fantastic. There is something about 40 degree weather with no cloud cover that makes it really feel like fall in Michigan.
We ended up at the Ann Arbor Arboretum. I persoanlly have never been there before and I am so happy that Mary and Bobby opened up this place to me. It will definitely be a place a I recommended to others!
Mary, Bobby, and I wandered with Butkus, their dog, along the paths, gardens, and river. We all went with the flow and captured shots as they naturally happened. There is always that moment, which I love, when the client really settles in, starts having fun, and even begins to throw out ideas of their own. Bobby and Mary requested some candid shots, with which I was happy to obligue. They are a great couple with a true connection and ease in front of the camera.
I always want my clients to feel like they can take ownership of the moment. There is more feeling in the photographs this way. Butkis is a funny guy too! His antics helped the true nature of this couple's day come to life!

ReplyDeleteOur experience with Jessica was an absolute treat! Not only is she a fantastic photographer, she is dedicated to satisfying her clients' every need and want. Jessica encouraged us to own the shoot by giving us freedom to choose poses and location. Jessica was more than willing to accomodate our request for a different site for the shoot. It was a really fantastic experience. I would recommend her for anyone looking to capture a special moment beautifuly on camera.
