It feels like Spring!

After weeks of single degree weather, today was a great and NEEDED treat.  With my thermometer reading a wopping thirty three degrees, the sun shining, and no wind chill;  I wanted to take advantage of the great weather so I gathered the pups and headed to my fav dog photography spot...

First I played with an adorable puggle named Butkus.  He is a family friend and I have been wanting to photograph him in action for some time now.  I learned two very important things about Butkus.  1) He loves his ball and 2) He loves to run... I think he ran circles around the dog part for about 2 hours without stopping and I had a blast trying to keep up with him!  Not only is Butkus a high energy machine, but his eyes and his smile will melt your heart. He is such a sweet boy (and is currently passed out on my lap snoring away), I couldn't have asked for a more playful and animated subject.....

Next, I met and photographed a really unique dog named Sophia.  What I thought was a husky puppy, turned out to be a breed I had never heard of or seen before, an Alaskan Klee Kai.  Basically, this breed is a miniature husky who, when full grown will not be bigger than my 18 lb Boston!  She had the most striking blue eyes, and her black fur was a beautiful contrast against the white of the snow.  Not only was she pretty to look at, she also had a great personality - very friendly and curious about all of the  people and dogs at the dog park.  Thanks to Sophia, the Klee Kai is now part of my (extensive) list of dream dogs to own one day!

Enjoy and until next time....
