The Reynolds Family!

The days of going to Sears and waiting in some studio with kids complaining is over. We can come to you and get great shots of you and your family, and have a great time too. A photo shoot itself  is a time that people should enjoy becasue getting quality time together captured on a photo is what puts "the family in family photos." You will be suprised at how creative your own kids will get when they feel like they are enjoying the shoot.

The Reynolds Family wanted some shots for christmas cards and presents.  We did a combination of indoor and outdoor shots, along with a mix of portrait and candid photos.  It was a coooollldddd day, but the entire family did a great job with the outdoor shots, and I think the fun they were having made them forget about the 28 degree wind chill! Unitl next time...

Baby Aiden

Here is two week old baby Aiden, or Mama's little monkey man - whichever you prefer!  He is a precious newborn with more hair than some 30 year old men!  It was a blast to watch new parents, Lauren and Alex, cuddle and love on this little bundle of joy....Plus they have an adorable dog named Lola so I couldn't resist snapping a few shots of her as well.... until next time....

Misty May

This was an improv shoot at the dog park. Those are the most  fun and normally the pictures turn out great because everyone is relaxed and acting the way they normally do. I always think the photos turn out the best when the camera can be a spectator. We were hanging out with our dogs and this really playful Husky, Misty May,  came over and started playing. She was so gentle and friendly! She is named after the famous pro volleyball player and many of her traits are exactly the same. She has really long legs, is really athletic, and loves to play. Enjoy these photos of Misty May the Husky. Until next time...

Charlie the Chihuahua, Pomeranian, Spaniel, Terrier, Prairie Dog?

Whatever this guy is,  there is one thing for sure... He is a CUTIE and he loves the camera. He loves his ball too! Some would say that Charlie is great at playing fetch...I think Charlie would say he is a ball hunter, and retriever, and hunter, and retriever. Fun, Fun, Fun at the dog park...until next time.

Baby Mason

I Had the absolute pleasure of photographing 2 1/2 week old Mason and his parents, Ashley and JR, today.  I could not have asked for a cuter subject than baby Mason!

Although he was a little bit cranky this afternoon, with his mother's help we were able to get some great shots.  He definitely likes being in his Mama's arms and I enjoyed watching Ashley's face light up as she held and loved  her new baby.

It was also a very special day for this family, as there were four generations of Martin men at Ashley and JR's house today!  It was an honour for me to be able to capture Great Grandpa, Grandpa, Father, and Newborn in the same shot - I can already see the family resemblance between Mason and the rest of the gang!

Until next time...

Mimi and Cici Bear

Mimi and Cici, or as I like to call them the girls with the wild hair, had fun with me today. I went to their house and played with them in the back yard. We did portrait style photos and candid photos. We took a couple of trampoline breaks in between shoots for a break! We wandered in the woods near their house, had a grass fight, made smores, chased each other in the field, and laughed all afternoon.

The best part of working with kids out of studio is that they really direct the shot without even knowing it. The way they play and behave in front of the camera is so natural and precious. Also, when I started showing them the photos they felt more involved and were throwing their own ideas out there.

Please enjoy the photos of these beautiful, wild little girls!!! Until next time...
